Who we are

This website stores nothing about you

This site is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and contains no tracking. The tax calculator runs entirely in your browser: the figures you enter are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves a technical request from your browser to Google's servers.

Data you choose to send us

When you contact us by email — including through the pre-filled emails generated by the calculator or the Get-started page — we receive the personal data you include: typically your name, email address, country of residence and information about your property. We process it to answer you, prepare a quote and, if you engage us, to perform tax services. The legal bases are pre-contractual and contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for retained tax records, our legal obligations as tax intermediaries (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Retention and sharing

Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is deleted within 24 months. Client files are retained for the periods required by Italian tax and professional rules (generally ten years). We do not sell or share personal data, except with the Italian tax authorities as required to perform the services, and with IT providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing, by writing to hello@chiarotax.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali) or the authority of your country of residence.
